Well, here it is. The Prologue of my newest story. It's project name is "The Black Rain", but the title of the final version can still change, so don't get used to it too much.
I'd like to thank everyone who helped me with proofreading it:
- SolarianWolf (http://solarianwolf.sofurry.com/)
- SexyKaiser (http://sexykaiser.sofurry.com/)
Unfortunately there was no one up to the task in helping me change the text so it'd sound like The Genesis, but if you feel like doing it, you still can. Please copy that text and e-mail me the changed version. I'll be happy to give it a status of collaboration. *winks*
At the beginning there was a roar, powerful and loud. A roar that
shook the nothingness, penetrated it and became a part of it. A roar,
which drew from His mouth.
He looked around the expanse of nothingness, and his eyes shone with a
living flame. The flaming sphere of his left eye stood in the middle of
nothingness, illuminating it with light and heating it with its
warmth. His right eye extinguished and became the Rock, which hung in
nothingness next to the burning sphere. And so the ball of fire began
to warm her sister, to take care of her and to give her energy, but that was
not enough.
He lifted his paw, and another fireball sparkled over it, looking just
like the previous two. He slipped his ebony-black claws then and
closing the fist around a flame, He cut it into billion of small
sparks. After a while, opening the fingers, He scattered those sparks
in the nothingness, bringing more light and heat into it. He
touched the Rocks to breathe life into it, and seeing that happen, He
shed a tear, that fell on the Rock and covered it with an ocean. But
the rock was not perfect in its shape and the third part of it was not
covered. And He came down from nothingness, and stood the Rock. But
despite the life, He breathed into it, it could not give birth to and
sustain their children with him. So roared He for the second time, and
His roar has become the air and the wind, which surrounded and swept
the Rock from now on. In that time she began to raise new life. From
her interior all vegetation, grass, shrubs, trees, and all the
flowers, and all the corn began to grow. But that was not enough.
So He stood on the shore of the ocean and the tip of his tail touched
the tract. The color of his hair spread over the water like a dark,
brown pigment, molding different shapes; larger and smaller. He smiled
and closed his eyes. The shapes began to change into cells, tissues,
living organisms. And so the ocean was filled with fish, reptiles and
other aquatic animals. However, some of them did not like the ocean
and moved into the rivers and lakes to live there. But that was not
enough.
So He stood in the middle of a meadow, surrounded by forest, and he
looked at the grass and flowers growing on it. He spread his paws
then, and the wind, which danced in the meadow, blew him lightly in
the face, caressing his lush mane. While it waved a single hair fell
on the ground, and after it another, and another. But his mane was
infinite, and there was more and more hair on the meadow. He then
closed his eyes, and every hair of his grew and shrank, forming new
shapes. When, as before, the shapes have changed their colors, tissues
and muscles began to form; covered with skin, hair, feathers, and
armor. And so the glade filled with animals both large and small. For
each species, two individuals were standing next to each other and
looking at him and, when He opened his eyes, they dispersed into all
the world to find their place and do a multiply. He smiled then,
because his work was almost finished.
He started to walk, strolling amid the greenery and bustle of life,
and his mane, so lush and abundant, waved in the wind. His name was
before everything and everything, that was born from him, knew it,
from the beginning of its existence. He, who created all things, who
gave the beginning, and will give the end. His name as a whisper and a
roar, as crying and laughing like; Rhu - The Great Lion. And He gave
names to everything He created. He called the fiery ball visible in
the Rock's sky Sol, and the Rock itself was called the World. And so
He ordered Sol to circulate around the World. Thus emerged the day and
the night, which began to run behind one-another. And so they remain
in this endless pursuit to this day. The sparkles in the sky, which
can be seen, when Sol is on the other side of the World, has been
called Stars. But the skies, despite the stars, was sad, and the
Lion-God saw that. He chose the largest of the stars, brought it
closer to the world and ordered it to grow. This He gave her the name
Luna. And so Sol ruled the day, and Luna ruled the night.
So the creation ended up. Rhu sat under a big tree, called it an Oak,
and began to rest. He sat so until Sol disappeared behind the horizon,
and when Luna started her pale light to brighten the dark sky, he
smiled at her and closed his eyes and sank into a deep sleep. In his
dream he saw his meadows and forests, lakes and oceans, life and
death.
He woke up next day, with three animals sleeping beside his feet.
The first animal was a gray; it had a long muzzle, sharp fangs, four
legs and a bushy tail. And when it awoke, He said: "You are the Wolf.
Strong and vigilant. A maintainer and a hunter. The wanted you shall
find, the guarded you'll protect; their friends you shall support,
their enemies defeat. And you shall be my brother, and will guard the
World. And thy name shall be known to all living beings; Graur - The
Holy Wolf, and so will it be from now until forever. " And so Rhu
created a watchman and gave him the name. The wolf stood up, and sat
at his side, staring at two other animals.
The second animal was brown, with slender legs and long neck, short
tail and short hair. On its head, like a crown of oak branches, it had
antlers which were large and dense. When it awoke, He said: "You are
the Deer. Noble and wise. Dignified and upright. Thou shalt guard the
knowledge and protect the law. Inerudites you shall teach, lawlessness
you will judge. And you shall be my brother, with knowledge and
righteousness. And thy name shall be know to all living beings; Daal -
The Holy Deer, and so will it be from now until forever. " And so Rhu
gave the name of the judge of the World, which now had to teach and
keep its knowledge. Then the deer stood up and stood beside Him,
staring at the last sleeping beast.
The third animal was not similar to the previous ones. The body of it
was slender and long, covered not with hair but scales. It did not
have legs at all, but its muscles were strong enough to let it crawl.
This beast was curled up in a kind of mound, and the color of his body
was almost entirely black. And when it awoke, He said: "You are the
Snake. Powerful and menacing. A slayer silent and inexorable. You
shall carry death on your back. You shall feast on souls of the
wicked, and give the righteous the opportunity to be born again. And
you will be my brother; the last messenger. And thy name shall be know
to all living beings; Kas'ar - The Holy Serpent, and so will it be
from now until forever." That way Rhu created a messenger of darkness.
The snake lifted his head and flatten his neck like a hood. He looked
at The Creator with his eyes, opened his mouth, shown two long, sharp
teeth, and hissed loudly, then he crawled away and disappeared in the
bushes.
The Great Lion stood up and turned to the wolf. He put his hand on his
head and gave him the mind so he could speak. Graur suddenly stood on
his hind legs, and his body took the shape of the body of his
creator. Similarly, Rhu touched the deer. He as well received both
mind and speech. The deer stood up on his hind legs as well and his
body took the shape of the body of his creator. Then the Lion told
them to go and gave the animals His two gifts so they can stand
straight as well, and they'll walk that way till the end of their lives.
When they both went as ordered, the Great Lion went in the opposite
direction...
